Sacramental Journey News 2020

For children in year 3 or older.

Due to COVID-19, sacramental preparation for Confirmation will be offered under an alternative format with a Confirmation pack being made available to parents after they enrol their child/ren. Enrolments will need to be completed by Tuesday 14th April. After which no enrolments will be accepted until next year. A date for conferring the Sacrament of Confirmation will be made when we have clearance from Brisbane Archdiocese.

The parent information sessions for the Sacrament of Confirmation have been cancelled.

Fill in the form and either drop off at the Parish office or email them to  along with copies of your child’s Birth and Baptism certificates and the fee of $40 (for all three sacraments).

Banyo Nundah Parish Office hours: 9.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday.  136 Buckland Rd, Nundah.

The Confirmation Pack will include all necessary resources for preparation to be completed at home with parental or guardian guidance and with support via email or phone from myself.

All packs will need to be picked up from the parish office by 24th April.

Penance & Firstly Holy Communion

*** Information subject to clearance from Brisbane Archdiocese ***

Children in year 4 or older will commence preparation for the sacraments of Penance and First Holy Communion (for students who have already been Confirmed) with an information session on 25 June. The sacrament of Penance will be received on 8/9 August with First Holy Communion being received at all weekend masses on 12 and 13 September.

Each year our parish prepares children for the sacraments of Confirmation, Penance and First Holy Communion.

Children generally prepare for Confirmation during Year 3. The sacraments of Penance and First Holy Communion are generally first received when children are in Year 4.
